Dear Ralph,
I bought my first Buckeye Dream Machine in the
spring 1998 and became a
dealer in 2001. Over the years and 700 plus hours
of flight I have made the
many upgrades offered by Buckeye. Each of them was a
subtle improvement to
an already great flying aircraft. This spring however
I upgraded our 2001
Dream Machine with the 68” prop, new struts, fuselage
bars and instrument
pod.
My first flight after the conversion made a believer
out of me. The first
thing I realized was a tremendous increase in thrust
during ground role,
followed by a 600 foot per minute climb rate. Once I
reached altitude,
straight and level flight was from maintained with four
to five hundred less
RPM than with the old 62” prop.
The real proof came the first hot, humid day that
I had an introductory
flight that was 300 plus pounds. The added thrust got
us in the air with a
full tank of fuel and my 190# with comfort not previously
possible. I have
since put the prop conversion on a customer 2000 Dream
Machine and he loves
the new performance as much as well.
Buckeye has always been a leader in the industry,
and with this retrofit
upgrade I am sure even the oldest aircraft will find
performance they never
thought was possible.
Sincerely,
Harvey Bailey
